New 9 series takes over the 7250 as Deutz Fahr's new Australian tractor flagship

Deutz Fahr's most powerful tractor range yet, the 9 series, recently had its official Australian unveiling at the 2016 Elmore Machinery Field Days.

Standing tall and turning heads at the show, the range-topping 336hp 9340 TTV features a "new from the ground up" design which Australian distributor PFG Australia says focuses on automation and operator comfort.

Its sleek look was the work of famed Italian design house Giugiaro Design, which in 2015 clinched the coveted 'Golden Tractor' design award for its work on the Deutz Fahr 9 series.

A bigger engine, better styling, improved front axle suspension and more advanced technologies were just some of the upgrades when compared with the 263hp 7250 TTV model.

Speaking at the Elmore field days, Deutz Fahr product manager Anthony Darveniza says the tractor has been tried and tested for over four years in Europe and has been tweaked to suit the Australian market prior to its arrival here.

"The main difference of this tractor here in Australia compared to the European version, is there are no diesel particulate filter (DPF) or Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems fitted to this tractor, meaning no AdBlue or additional emission controls, which is ideal for the Australian market," he says.
